What to do during your Summer Holiday
Summer at Ferienpark Grafschaft Bentheim means long, light-filled days and a full programme for the whole family. Our animation team runs outdoor activities for children of all ages right around the park — full details are always available at reception when you arrive. (Note: the animation team is a seasonal special; the schedule for this summer is confirmed closer to the date.)
Beyond the kids' programme, summer is the best time of year to make the most of what's right outside your door — warm evenings on two wheels, and cool water a short ride away in Nordhorn.
Summer Cycling
Long summer evenings are made for two wheels. Pick up a bicycle map at reception and follow the colour-coded routes through fields, forests, and traditional villages, or rent a touring bike, e-bike, or kids' bike directly at the park. From June to August, hop on our seasonal Fietsenbus to get dropped further out and cycle back at your own pace, taking in the countryside at its greenest.
Summer on the Water
When the days get warm, the Vecht river near Nordhorn is the place to cool off. Glide along by kayak, join a relaxing boat tour, or spend a day fishing (permit required). Combine a boat trip through Nordhorn's "water-city" with a stop at the zoo, or go for a moonlight ride on a warm summer evening.
Tubbergen Tropical Pool
Whatever the summer weather does, Tubbergen's tropical swimming paradise is just 8 km away — slides, wave pools, and warm water indoors and out. A good backup for a rainy day, or just a change of pace from the bungalow.
