Surroundings Ferienpark Grafschaft Bentheim

Grafschaft Bentheim

Looking for a holiday in Germany, but you do not want to drive too far? Then Ferienpark Grafschaft Bentheim is the ideal destination for you. It lies just across the border in the county with the same name, Bentheim. The region is famous for cycling, but also for the beautiful historic town of Bad Bentheim. Fortunately, our holiday park is near Bad Bentheim and you can thus take a walk in the city.

The region looks Dutch, with windmills, watermills and red bike mushrooms that indicate the route and the distances. Yet the landscape is unmistakably German, with rolling hills, the typical house construction and many local festivals and events. The official language is German, yet many people speak Dutch around our park. Exploring the area by bike is a general concept here, as well as the Fietsenbus, that will take both you and your bike to any station. From there you can cycle along a scenic route back to your holiday home.

Around the holiday park in Uelsen

Although the Grafschaft Bentheim holiday park is immersed in nature, there is plenty to do around the park as well. Starting with the trails in the woods behind the park. These forest roads take you through hills and along fields. Bike trails start right at the park, yet this is not all.

The village of Uelsen is located a few kilometers from the park and it has a specific vacation area. It starts with a large adventure playground with a skate park just 500m from the holiday park. A little further there is the Bronzezeithof, a small open-air museum which takes you back to the Bronze Age, take a look at the huts here, a spectacular representation of it.

Just past the Bronzezeithof there are the indoor pool and the forest pool with sunbathing possibilities. Depending on the weather, one of the two will be opened. Beside the pools you can also hit the ball on the mini golf course. A great holiday afternoon.

Pools near the holiday park

At 2.5 km from the park there are two magnificent swimming pools for spending many hours with water fun. You can get to them by taking a nice walk through the fields, but there is also enough parking when going by car or by bicycle.

In 2011, the indoor pool was completely rebuilt, you can swim laps in the 25 m pool, play in the paddling pool and slide down the longest slide in the county of Bentheim!!! You will enjoy it for sure.

In the summer months, the large forest pool is open when the outside temperature is above 21 degrees. There are two large water slides here and diving boards at heights of 1 and 3 m. The bigger pool invites you to swim laps, while the smaller shallower pool is  very suitable for children. For the little ones there is a paddling pool as well.
